Was there ever the slightest hesitation that I wouldn't make a wonderful neighbour...well now I have the title to prove it.
Henceforth I am officially known as Katyra's Pawsitive Tinker CGN. That's right sweeties, I passed my 'canine good neighbour' test.

Looks like I will have to take it once again when we move to America. There it's known as the 'canine good citizen's test'.  

Fear not my future American neighbours, I will soon prove my title and will bring a cosmopolitan flair and exemplary good neighbourliness wherever I shall roam, sniff, or swim.

Greetings my Loves,

Although I am not in the habit of banging my own drum, I am thrilled to have graduated from my sub-novice obedience class with the highest marks in the class.

I lost a few paltry marks because I don't yet understand why I can't lick someone's hand when they approach me while I'm in a "stand" position. Nor can I refrain from bouncing up on my handler when we "hurry" together.

Be that as it may, we achieved a stellar 192.50 out of 200.

I can't wait to enter an official trial and begin agility. Roll on September!

"Off" is not my favourite word

Darlings this dreary winter weather makes me ever so fatigued.

I have two perfectly lovely beds of my own, plus a cushioned perch from which I can survey the world outside.  And yet, I find myself constantly drawn to the firm mattress swaddled in Italian embroidered sheets that belongs to my caregivers.

I don't make a fuss, I just silently hop onto the bed and let my mind slip into unconsciousness where I dream of warmer climates. Could Florida be far off? How I dream of the ocean surf....

Speaking of "off", it is the most detestable word in the English language! Sadly, it's a word I hear too often, especially when I've sneakily taken to my masters' bed.

"Off", they say...and sooner or later I begrudingly must remove myself from their place of sleep and retire to my own. 

When I'm back in my own bed  I chortle, "Off...hmmm...for now perhaps". A Toller Princess needs her comforts...and she will have them, by Zeus, she will have them.

Wordful Wednesday: dancing in the shadows

Sometimes, my Darlings, there is beauty in the shadows. In the half light, our eyes strain to categorize, organize, delineate, objects and things that we can barely see. Our vision blurred, we lose control of what's before us. We stumble. Fear and anxiety mount. We move slowly. But sometimes, there is beauty in such things, or when the truly beautiful is exposed. Such is the light captured here...

Wordless Wednesday

Darlings, I don't know if I can say nothing! So much life is happening around me. There's fresh snow to talk about, squirrels, cats running past, children playing nearby, and my hockey ball beckoning for me to play with it. I don't know if I can make this a wordless Wednesday after all!
